A GROUP of ladies from Slimming World held a 12-hour dartathon at The Globe in Cannington to raise funds for St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.
Community Fundraiser, Julie Draper, was delighted to accept a cheque for £205.75 at the group's open evening.
She said: "I would like to thank all the ladies for their kindness and generosity and the landlady of the globe, Leathea Stephenson, for kindly offering a venue for the event.
"This money will contribute to the general running costs of St Margaret's. 80% of our annual revenue is donated from generous local people who appreciate the fact that St Margaret's specialist care is available freely to local people and that it makes a tremendous impact on the quality of life of all those who receive it."
