A GROUP of 'Limers' are appealing for a specific photograph taken in 1946.

Lime Kiln Carnival Club are celebrating their 70th anniversary this year, and have managed to find a photograph of their carnival cart for every year since they founded.

Except one.

A snap of the cart from 1946, when the theme was 'Ye Jovial Monks', is missing and so the club is appealing for anyone who may have a copy.

Lim Kiln Carnival Club have entered Bridgwater Carnival for 70 consecutive years and have had the same name and headquarters- the Lime Kiln Inn- throughout.

Club chairman David Cleaveley said: "We are hoping that someone has a photo of our carnival cart from the year our club began.

"We don't even know if one exists but it would be great to have the complete set."

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Limers are holding a free evening at the Lime Kiln Inn on September 12 at 7:30pm.

Past and current members are all invited to attend the social gathering.

If anyone thinks they can help with the missing photo of the 1946 carnival cart, please contact David on 01278 425536.
