CELEBRATIONS for this year’s Bridgwater Carnival will begin with a bang tonight (November 2).
The Grand Firework Display, which starts at 7.30pm, is just one of a full programme of exciting events ahead of the parade on Saturday evening.
The fireworks display is sponsored by Bridgwater Town Council and supported by Sedgemoor District Council for the seventh year running.
Remember, for the first time there will be other attractions on St Matthew’s Field to entertain the family, starting from 3pm, including a handful of fairground rides provided by the world famous Chipperfield family.
Dave Stokes, publicity officer for Bridgwater Carnival, said: “It will get the town in the mood for what is to come tomorrow night.”
Car parking is available at St Matthew’s Field for £4 per car (or £5 to include a souvenir procession programme), and the proceeds will go towards the Bridgwater Carnival charity.
No unauthorised pedlars will be allowed into St Matthew’s Field during the event.
Skyburst Fireworks will provide and direct the firework performance.
