MEMBERS were delighted to say Happy Birthday Chris - 93 years young as everyone joined in the celebrations of Chris Banwell's 93rd birthday with a delicious tea and entertainment.

Mrs Banwell has lived in Cossington for many years, being a keen and constant member of the Friends and Neighbours Club from its' inception She takes part in all the events in the village and one would never know that she is 93, as she looks so well and is always busy with her home, family and many friends.

It was also pleasing to welcome two of her sons, Chris and Bob Cudlipp, who joined in the celebrations saying that as boys they had attended Cossington School and knew many members of the club.

As the birthday fell on a club day Chris gave a wonderful party, prepared by several members. Chris Cudlipp entertained with his annual quiz of flowers and birds, but complicated it with spelling tests and anagrams - after all he was a schoolteacher!

Congratulations Chris, members look forward to next year's party!
