THE second club outing of the year was on Friday April 25 to the craft centre at Broad Windsor and Bridport.
Fortunately the weather was kind and although the wind was a little brisk, the rain held off. The coach left the village at 9.30am and after a lively county ride through quite narrow winding roads, the craft centre was reached at 11.45am. It was a most interesting place with lots of lovely things to tempt as well as small craft shops with very unusual items to wonder at.
There was a chance for a quick cuppa and time to browse and buy then it was off to Bridport in time for lunch. Again there were lots to see and quite a few purchases made judging by the full carrier bags brought back to the coach.
Before leaving Bridport two members had their birthdays celebrated, Mrs Hayes and Mrs Selway. The home journey was again through country lanes but not the same ones. It was a very successful day out thanks to Doug, Anne and Ray the coach driver. The next outing planned for May 23 to Brixham is already being anticipated.
