HAWTHORNE Ken and Gary. These two wonderful people were laid to rest on Saturday 6th September at the Life for a Life Memorial Forest at Durleigh Meadows with their close family and friends around them. Special thanks go to Dave Slocombe, the Life for a Life co-ordinator, for leading a lovely ceremony and to Sarah Biffen for the beautiful and poignant poem reading. We would also like to thank everyone for their generous donations and can now confirm a total of £887.54 was donated in memory of Dad and Gary, which was distributed between The Stroke Association, Huntingdons Disease Association and the Rosary Nursing Home Amenities Fund. Our lives will never be the same again, but we can take comfort from knowing that they both live on, not only in our hearts and memories, but in this beautiful English Oak.
