Aschott & Shapwick 137 lost to Frocester 237-3 by 100 runs
ASHCOTT & Shapwick’s relegation from Premier One is all but sealed following a 100-run drubbing at title-chasing Frocester.
Nick Trainor led the visitors’ charge with 114 from 133 balls as Frocester declared in the 44th over on 237-4 – but it was the same old story for Ashcott with the bat as they crumbled to 137 all out, with only Sam Spencer (43) finding any sort of form.
Spencer had earlier been the pick of the bowlers for Ashcott with 2-40, but Trainor and Muchall (54) punished much of the hosts’ bowling.
Ashcott travel to Bristol on Saturday.
