ENMORE Park Seniors made the long trip to the west Devon course of Saunton and on this testing links course, came away with a stunning but unexpected victory by 4½ matches to 3½.

More used to their parkland features than the challenging East course of Saunton there were some fine scores - Iain Stewart and Mark Saxton posted a fine 5 and 4 victory, whilst David Pascoe and Graham Pain won by 3 and 2, as did Merv Slocombe and John Parker.

Jess Lawrence and Ray Hancock were one up whilst Jim Symcox and Paul Waplington carded the half point.

Club Night last Tuesday was won by Ashton, Stroud-Lewis and Stote with a score of 68.

They narrowly edged out runners-up Flack, White and Walker who also had 68 points.

In third, with 65 points, was the team of Morley, Phillips and Coombs.

Last Wednesday's Midweek Medal was won by Tim Coombes with a nett 68.

This was also good enough to see Tim claim Division One, ahead of Kieron Windsor in second and Jake Webber-Cadby in third.

Division Two was won by Chris Johnson on countback from Tim Ramsey, both finishing with nett 71's.

In third, after a nett 74, was Barry Webster.

June Symcox won the Club Medal with a nett 71.

Following June in the Silver Division was Kathy Salway with a nett 73, one ahead of third placed Rose Jarvis.

The Bronze Division was won by Julie Blumgart with a nett 74 to finish three ahead of the field.

In second, after countback, was Marilyn Turrell with a nett 72 and Jackie Bull took third.

Tuesday's Seniors Team Challenge for the Bob Burton Cup was won, on countback, by The Strawbies with 83 points. The team, consisting of Webster, Martin and Strawbridge, edged out Team Kes who were runners-up, with The Youngsters in third.
